Welcome to the 2010 Cricket Challenge an event being held in support of local Gold Coast children’s charity Paradise Kids and hosted by the Runaway Bay Cricket Club. Cricket Challenge is a new concept created by ex international cricketers Adam Hollioake and Damien Martyn whereby teams enter an eight-a-side knockout competition with the winner vying for $5,000 in prize money.
The goal is to bring the community together for a fun filled day of cricket with the eight-a-side format offering the quickest, fun filled version of the glorious old game! The Cricket Challenge will host world class players, thrilling matches, huge hits and spectacular catches! The event will conclude with a formal presentation, guest panel question and answer session followed by a bbq and drinks.
Adding to the excitement will be 102.9 Hot Tomato broadcasting from the event, face painting, jumping castles, market stalls, live entertainment and lots more! Food and beverages available on the ground but feel free to host your own picnic with family and friends.
