Paradise Kids is proud to acknowledge the sponsorship of MessageMedia, the SMS Specialist.
This grant will make it possible to provide three Grief and Loss Programs for Children, a Boy’s Program and a Child-Parent Relationship Training program.
Paradise Kids provides support for children that are going through experiences of grief, loss and illness, and to their families.
These programs have an emphasis on helping children grow through and learn from painful life experiences. Rather than just trying to make children “feel better,” we help them to be “better at feeling” and better able to deal with their feelings in positive and healthy ways.
It is well researched that if children are not helped to deal with their grief, they can get into a downward spiral of difficulty at school and anti-social behaviours, often developing later into over-use of alcohol and the use of drugs to ease the pain.
Our programs help children go through their experiences in a way that reverses the down-ward spiral and actually helps them to grow stronger.

Volunteers Gold Coast

As a not for profit organisation with no government funding Paradise Kids relies heavily on volunteers to successfully deliver its Grief and Loss Programs. In 2012, Volunteering Gold Coast awarded Hopewell and Paradise Kids the title of Volunteer Organisation of the Year.
